Little Swimmer

Ages 3 - 6

Designed for preschoolers and early learners, our Little Swimmer program transforms water play into foundational swimming skills. Through engaging, age-appropriate activities, children develop independence in the water, learning to float, glide, and kick with confidence. With a small group setting, swimmers benefit from plenty of instructor interaction, all while building their skills and love for the water.

The Little Swimmer program features four progressive levels, each designed to support and celebrate every stage of your child’s aquatic development. While parents and guardians don’t join in the pool for this one, you’re invited to cheer them on from the viewing area—front-row seats to their growing confidence!

    Little Swimmer Level 1

Small group swim lessons for ages 3–6 | Max 4 swimmers per instructor

Level 1 is where our youngest swimmers begin their journey. Designed for children aged 3–6, this class focuses on building comfort, confidence, and trust in the water. Instructors use fun and encouraging activities to help swimmers feel safe while learning to float, submerge, and move with assistance.

If your swimmer is new or feeling unsure, or hasn't taken formal lessons before, this is the best place to start.

Our program runs on a monthly membership model based on 4 lessons per month.

If you're a parent looking to enroll a new swimmer at The Swim Space, here's how it works:

    • We begin reviewing all new enrollment requests after the 15th day of the current month

    • If your request is approved, your membership will begin on the 1st day of the upcoming month

During the 1st two weeks of each month, our current members are offered the chance to transfer into available spaces— whether due to schedule changes or level progression. Because of this, we can’t guarantee requested times, even if a class appears open when requested.  Please feel free to let us know of alternate class times that would work for you, in the event that your preferred class is not available.

No payment will be processed unless we confirm a spot for your swimmer.

    Safety First
Our small group format allows instructors to give each swimmer the attention they need to thrive. If a swimmer requires one-on-one support beyond what’s possible in this setting, we may not be able to accommodate them in a group class at this time.

    Little Swimmer Level 2

Small group swim lessons for ages 3–6 | Max 4 swimmers per instructor

Level 2 is for swimmers aged 3–6 who are already comfortable in the water and ready to start moving more independently. We build on foundational skills like floating, gliding, and kicking, while introducing basic front and back movement with less support. The focus is on building confidence, body control, and independence through short swims and fun challenges.

If your child is coming from another program, we’ll typically start them in Level 2 so we can assess how their experience translates to our program. Entry into Level 3 is reserved for swimmers who have completed our Level 2 or been formally assessed by our team.

Our program runs on a monthly membership model based on 4 lessons per month.

    Little Swimmer Level 3

Small group swim lessons for ages 3–6 | Max 4 swimmers per instructor

Level 3 is for swimmers aged 3–6 who have successfully completed Level 2 at The Swim Space. At this stage, swimmers are starting to move independently with more confidence. We work on front and back glide with kick, intro to front crawl arms, unassisted floats, and basic backstroke—all while keeping it fun and age-appropriate.

This level is ideal for young swimmers who are ready to be more independent in the water, while still benefiting from close instructor support and gentle guidance.

Swimmers transferring from other programs will need to start in Level 2 so we can assess their readiness for Level 3. Only swimmers who have passed our Level 2 or been formally assessed may join this level.

    Little Swimmer Level 4

Small group swim lessons for ages 3–6 | Max 4 swimmers per instructor

Level 4 is our most advanced class in the Little Swimmer program, designed for swimmers aged 3–6 who have successfully completed Level 3 at The Swim Space. Swimmers in this level are becoming strong, independent movers in the water and are working on full front crawl with breathing, basic backstroke, and strong glides. We also introduce whip kick and elements that prepare them for our Big Swimmer program.

This level is best for swimmers who are confident with minimal support and ready for more technical challenges.

If your swimmer is transferring from another program, they’ll need to start in Level 2 so we can assess their readiness for higher levels. Only swimmers who have passed our Level 3 or been formally assessed may join this level.
