How It Works

At The Swim Space we provide small group classes that run continuously through a monthly membership.

Membership is based on 4 scheduled classes per month.

You can create an account through our Parent Portal or mobile App. Registration opens on the 20th of each month for the following month, and spaces are filled on a first come, first served basis.

Your swimmer’s membership will automatically renew for the following month, unless you cancel by midnight on the 15th day of the current month. Your swimmer will continue in the same class each month (while he or she remains in the same level).

We’ll bill for your swimmer’s first month when their enrollment is confirmed. After that, The Swim Space bills on the 16th day of the month for the following month's membership. We will charge the card that you have on file.

We have a Make-up policy if you need to miss a class.

If your registered swimmer's class time no longer works with your schedule, and you’d like to move them to a new time going forward, you can request a transfer to a different class.  Once transferred, this will become their new class time and their old class time will be available to other swimmers.  Transfers are not to be used for one-off or temporary absences.

To get started, create an account on our Parent Portal or mobile App and you’ll receive a Welcome email explaining our programs and enrollment process.
Our mobile App is available in the Apple Store and Google Play.

Please note:
Our classes are in high demand, and while we always do our best to accommodate families — including sibling schedules — we can’t guarantee placement in same-time or back-to-back classes.  We’ll always prioritize helping current members find the best possible options as space becomes available.

We offer small group classes and swimmers are grouped by both age and swimming experience.

For Little Swimmer, Big Swimmer and Super Swimmer classes:

If your child has not had any swimming lessons before, they would enroll in Level 1. If they have had lessons before, they can enroll in Level 2. (Levels 3, 4 and 5 are reserved for swimmers who have completed Levels 1 and 2 with us, or are determined by our team to be ready to move into those levels).

At your swimmer's first class our team will check that they are in the correct level.

For our newest Tiny Swimmers ( 4 months to 4 years old) we have options for where to start:

Our Programs

Tiny Swimmer 1
4 months to 18 months
(maximum 10:1 ratio with parent)

Tiny Swimmer Level 1 introduces swimmers to the water with a parent or guardian in the pool alongside them. Classes focus on comfort, connection, and positive
early water experiences through gentle movement, songs, and playful activities.

At this stage, swimmers begin developing familiarity with the water while caregivers learn how to safely support and move their child in an aquatic environment.
The emphasis is on trust, bonding, and helping swimmers feel calm and secure.

This level lays the foundation for confidence in the water and the very first steps toward learning to love the water.

Tiny Swimmer 2
18 months to 48 months
(maximum 10:1 ratio with parent)

Tiny Swimmer Level 2 is designed for older toddlers who are new to swimming or who still benefit from parent or guardian support in the water. While maintaining
a supportive environment, this level begins to introduce more instructor led structure.

Swimmers practice listening, following simple directions, and participating in guided activities while still having a trusted adult close by. Basic dock safety and early
independence skills are introduced to help prepare swimmers for future classes without a parent in the pool.

This level bridges the gap between supported water play and independent swimming lessons.

Tiny Swimmer 3
30 months to 48 months
(maximum 3:1 ratio without parent)

Tiny Swimmer Level 3 is the first fully independent class in the Tiny program. Swimmers participate without a parent in the water in a small group setting with
a low 3 : 1 swimmer to instructor ratio.

Tiny Swimmer 4
30 months to 48 months
(maximum 3:1 ratio without parent)

Tiny Swimmer Level 4 builds on independent participation with a focus on increased confidence and skill execution. Swimmers work toward
unassisted front and back floats, glides, and early front swimming movements.

This level prepares swimmers for a smooth transition into our Little Swimmer program while continuing to strengthen a calm, confident, love the water mindset.

Little Swimmer Levels 1 - 5
4 to 6 years
(maximum 3:1 ratio)

Big Swimmer Levels 1 - 4
7 to 9 years
(maximum 3:1 ratio)

Super Swimmer Level 1 - 4
10 to 13 years
(maximum 3:1 ratio)
